    	abstract = "Nowadays, it is a big challenge to handle urban freight problems. To handle these problems is a significant task worldwide, because it is important to reduce environmental pollution and the overload of the city roads to make to cities more liveable. Within the urban freight transport problems, the so-called concentrated delivery points (shopping malls, shopping areas or markets) must be highlighted, because in these places there are several shops in a relatively small area. Deliveries of this kind of points mean a heavy load for the urban roads. In 2015 we started to examine the logistics system of the shopping malls in Budapest. In our research, we developed a mesoscopic simulation model, which was presented at the Smart Cities Symposium in 2017. In our paper, we would like to present a macroscopic simulation model, which was developed from our other, mesoscopic model. This new model makes it possible to examine a special logistics system, which can provide services for nearly 2000 shops of 18 shopping mall by use of cargo bikes and electric trucks in two-stage and three-stage systems. The model generates the required number of vehicles for the multi-stage logistics systems and shows us also the performances. Based on the results, we can say that such a system can reduce environmental pollution and the load of the roads on the one hand, but on the other hand naturally they have a significant investment demand too.",

    	abstract = "Urban freight transport poses significant problems in cities around the world: trucks play a major role in congestion, environmental and noise pollution and damage the roads. Shopping centres are problematic, in particular, as they concentrate a large number of retail stores in a relatively small space. There are 18 shopping malls in Budapest alone, each containing 180 stores on average, therefore there is great potential in streamlining their deliveries. The most effective solution is a cooperative city-logistics system, a freight consolidation scheme. However, there is a shortage of available data regarding the logistical operations and freight quantities of shopping malls, so it is inescapable to develop a methodology by which the logistical characteristics of any shopping centre can be obtained. After testing our methodology, we concluded that it is capable of serving as the basis of such systems. This paper presents the development, structure and testing of this methodology."

In the capital of Hungary there are 18 shopping malls, which are big city logistics junctions and now there is no possibility of a consolidated system to supply them. Budapest is the biggest city of Hungary; which area is 525,2 km2 and the population is 1.750.000. In this city (in 2015) there were 32405 retailers, and more than 3000 of them were in shopping malls. This means, that more than the 10% of retailers of the city are concentrated in these 18 junctions. We started our project in 2015 to deal with the logistics characteristics of the malls on Budapest and we developed a methodology, which is suitable to examine the freight transports and the city logistics parameters of the malls. With our methodology we measured 3 shopping mall and more, than 300 shop of them. After this we prepared our mesoscopic simulation model, which helps us to examine the goods supply of the malls. This model is suitable to show us, which advantages it can have, when we organize the supplies of the malls in consolidated city logistics system.",

The planning, organization, direction and the control of the logistics processes might be more efficient if these formal languages are applied. During the logistics processes, many problems might arise, which should have already been addressed in the planning phase. In our days, the symptomatic treatment is a common practice, but it does not provide predictability. The obvious solution would be process control, in order to handle the main sources of faults and to give a correct list of what needs to be done during the logistics process. The process description languages may be useful not only in standardisation, but they may also help to avoid losses. Simulation experiments, on the basis of built model, also allow for the elimination of problems, standardisation and the limitation of losses. The aim of the article is a discussion of selected coordination mechanisms in the supply chain, its modelling in the form of a reference, as well as a discussion of the simulation experiment with the use of the FlexSim tool."
