Introduction to lean thinking
Dr. Balázs Sztrapkovics
We will learn about the history of lean, the 5 principles of lean and the basic concepts of lean management. Throughout the semester, we will learn about lean tools for process mapping and analysis through practical examples. You will be introduced to lean waste, its categorization and its practical manifestations, as well as learning the steps of value stream analysis. In the course of the semester, students will plan and level a complete vehicle production line and plan its replenishment.

Logistics project management
András Bakos
Our lives are in fact a multitude of projects, and much of our success depends on how we manage these projects. In most logistics projects, it is not just one person, but a whole team that is required to achieve the goals set. The scope of project management methodology is very broad, but the real challenges lie in its practical application. The course offers the opportunity not only to acquire theoretical knowledge, but also to gain practical experience through individual project work, typically in groups of 2-4 people, over the whole semester.

Thesis work
András Bakos
By developing a logistics topic of your choice, you will show us how to apply the knowledge you have learned during the courses. You will explore the current situation on a quantitative basis and, after having identified and prioritised the problems, you will conceptually develop one or more proposals for improvement and explain their expected impact.
